Community Activities

The EIT Community is a collaborative network comprising the European Institute of Innovation and Technology's (EIT) long-term partnerships, known as Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). 

By leveraging the collective expertise of these KICs, the EIT Community initiatives bring together academia, research, and business to power innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity. We believe that together we can foster a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable economy for generations to come.

Our programmes include: 

• EIT Education: We drive systemic change through education, equipping learners with the skills needed to innovate
• Artificial Intelligence: We support the European ecosystem to tackle societal, business, environmental, and regulatory challenges by promoting the human-centric implementation of Artificial Intelligence. We also contribute to the upskilling of AI professionals and the EIT Community to adopt AI. 
• New European Bauhaus: We support the translation of the Green Deal with tangible change that improves citizens’ daily life. We achieve this by working with start-ups, change-makers, civil society and local authorities. 
• Women Entrepreneurship (Supernovas): We empower women to be more present in the entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem by providing them with a distinctive network and educational opportunities.
• Global Outreach: We build bridges to innovation ecosystems worldwide, facilitating knowledge exchange and business opportunities.
• Jumpstarter: We support start-ups in Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe through pre-acceleration and acceleration programmes.
• InfraBooster: Capacity building for research infrastructures, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
• EIT Community RIS Hubs: We strengthen local entrepreneurship and fostering collaboration between local and EU innovation networks.
• Ukraine Support: We support Ukrainian innovators with mentorships, internships, and opportunities in EU countries. Our Red Kalyna programme support especially Ukrainian women.
• Shared services: Consolidation of business process, shared events and communication services, co-location centers.
• Access to finance: Investments through collaborations with the European Innovation Council (EIC), the European Investment Fund (EIF) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
