Lorenzo Fici (Italy) is a PhD researcher in control at the I3S Laboratory (CNRS) in Sophia Antipolis, France, specialising in robotics, artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. He completed a double master’s degree in autonomous systems through the 28DIGITAL Master School at Polytech Nice-Sophia and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where research he began during his master’s studies developed into his current PhD. His PhD, co-sponsored by 28DIGITAL, focuses on lightweight and reliable neural network-based controllers for autonomous and embedded systems. Lorenzo has also served as a 28DIGITAL Student Ambassador and is currently the Alumni Local Representative for Nice, helping strengthen connections within the EIT community.
The EIT Digital community has provided an international and multidisciplinary environment that encouraged me to take initiative, collaborate across cultures, and engage beyond the classroom.
