- RECRUITMENT PROCESS
For guidance on how to apply, please consult the guide for applicants.
Only applications submitted through the EU CV Online system will be accepted. Spontaneous applications cannot be considered.
Applicants are strongly advised not to wait until the last few days before applying, as technical issues may interrupt the online application process. Applications cannot be submitted after the deadline.
Admission to the Selection Procedure
After the deadline for online registration, submitted applications are verified against the eligibility criteria.
Initial Assessment of Applications
Only applications meeting the eligibility criteria will be assessed against the selection criteria. Applications are evaluated based on the candidate’s qualifications, training and professional experience in relation to the profile.

Following evaluation of profiles, the most suitable candidates, based on the highest scores, will be invited to an interview. Interviews will be organised in Budapest or online. Candidates will be informed of the time, date and format.
The interview and written test will be conducted in English. Other languages indicated in the application may also be tested. Candidates will be required to complete a written test in English, which may take place before or after the interview.
Verification of Documents and Scrutiny
Candidates invited to an interview will be requested to submit copies of their diplomas and evidence of their professional experience.
Prior to contract signature, the successful candidate will be required to provide original documents proving that they meet the eligibility criteria.
If, at any stage of the procedure, it is established that the information in an application has been knowingly falsified, the candidate will be disqualified from the selection process.
Candidates will also be disqualified if they:
do not meet all the eligibility criteria;
do not provide all the required supporting documents.
Reserve List
The selection board will place the most suitable eligible candidates on a draft reserve list, which will then be submitted to the EIT Appointing Authority for approval. The adopted reserve list will be valid until the date indicated in the Vacancy Notice. Reserve lists may be extended by decision of the EIT Appointing Authority.
Prior to being offered a post, candidates on a reserve list may be required to undergo further evaluation by the EIT (e.g. including an additional interview). Inclusion on a reserve list does not imply any entitlement to employment at the EIT. Recruitment is also subject to budgetary availability.
