Myceen (Estonia) develops mycelium-based insulation and construction materials made from industrial residues, with the aim of creating carbon-negative alternatives for the building sector. Early support from Climate KIC and EIT Jumpstarter helped launch the company in 2021. In 2025, funding from EIT Culture & Creativity supported further technical validation and the scale-up of Myceen’s production capacity.
Joining the EIT Community helped us move faster from a promising material innovation toward a validated construction product and a scalable European business. The effect is very real - we launched Myceen in 2021 thanks to the first funding of EIT CKIC and Jumpstarter, this is where it began.
