EIT Innovation Team Award
PCC Thorion (Germany) is developing advanced silicon–carbon anode materials and electrolyte additives to improve the performance and sustainability of lithium-ion batteries. Through the EIT RawMaterials KAVA programme, the SCIONb project received support for the development, validation and scale-up of the technology, bringing research and industrial expertise together. EIT RawMaterials also enabled connections with industry, investors, policymakers and other innovators, helping the team challenge assumptions and validate its results from different perspectives.
The KIC gave us a valuable opportunity to connect with a broad range of stakeholders, including industry representatives, investors, and policymakers. These exchanges helped us not only to challenge our assumptions, but also to validate our results from different perspectives.
