From 10 to 12 November, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is in Lisbon for Web Summit, one of Europe’s largest technology conferences, as an official partner of the event. Whether you are a founder, an investor or an innovation expert, there are four ways to join us.
Explore the opportunities offered by the EIT Community - Meet the EIT at booth E420
Visit the EIT Community booth E420, next to the Policy Summit stage, to find out more about the EIT funding, mentoring and acceleration programmes and innovation opportunities offered for your startup or organisation. Meet the EIT’s local contacts from across Europe, and representatives of the EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) on 11 November. Book a free 15-minute one-to-one session with an EIT expert through the Web Summit app.
You can also hear about the EIT Regional Innovation Booster, which helps startups and scaleups in countries with emerging innovation ecosystems to grow and expand abroad. New opportunities will be announced, and pre-registration opens for upcoming calls in Poland, Portugal, Hungary and Malta.
On stage: the future of work
EIT Head of Operations Ilaria Tagliavini joins Cosmin Boiangiu, Executive Director of the European Labour Authority for a 20-minute Super Fireside conversation on the Future of Work Summit stage on 10 November at 13:45.
Supernovas Breakfast: women founders meet investors
Start the morning of 11 November, 8.30–10.00 a.m., with an exclusive networking breakfast hosted by EIT Community Supernovas with FemTech Portugal, OW Ventures, Moon Capital and Borski Fund. Supernovas is the EIT programme that brings more women into entrepreneurship and investment. It has trained more than 700 women investors and supported over 100 women-led startups, which have raised more than €95 million. EIT Jumpstarter Awards Ceremony: women founders meet investors
On 12 November at 17:30, meet the finalists and find out who wins at the EIT Jumpstarter Awards Ceremony, an official Web Summit side event at Unicorn Factory Lisboa. EIT Jumpstarter helps researchers, students and early-stage innovators turn ideas into ventures through months of training and mentoring, with prizes of up to €10 000. Innovators will be awarded in six areas, from food and healthcare to smart cities.
