Framework of Guidance for the EIT’s 2018 Call for Proposals published

Today, the EIT has published the Framework of Guidance for the EIT’s 2018 Call for Proposals.

To further enhance its impact and to incentivise the innovations needed to meet societal challenges, we’re continuing to expand our activities in 2018 by launching a call for two new Knowledge and Innovation Communities:

• EIT Manufacturing: strengthening and increasing the competitiveness of Europe’s manufacturing industry
• EIT Urban Mobility: smart, green and integrated urban transport

Following the publication of the Evaluation Criteria in July 2017, the Framework of Guidance for the EIT’s 2018 Call for Proposals is intended to help those interested in forming an EIT Innovation Community.

This document presents the EIT and how it works, what an EIT Innovation Community is  and what makes an EIT Innovation Community successful. Based on the lessons learnt since the establishment of the EIT and its first Innovation Communities, it also contains tips on starting an EIT Innovation Community and key information on what happens after the designation of new Innovation Communities, including contractual relations, the EIT funding model and the EIT monitoring system.
