Over 100 start-ups supported with EIT Urban Mobility’s Investment Readiness Programme

Through its Investment Readiness Programme (IRP), EIT Urban Mobility has enhanced the fundraising capabilities and facilitated extensive networking opportunities for 102 start-ups since its inception in 2021.

A total of 28 EU and associated countries are represented in the total with more than a third (35 per cent) being women founded and/or led. The programme provides access to a wide network of investors including business angels, venture capital, corporate and institutional investors and European funding organisations.

The programme works by providing resources, training and coaching over the course of six months. This is in addition to gaining access to an extensive and knowledgeable ecosystem of likeminded people: entrepreneurs, mentors, corporates, and investors – in turn fostering partnerships and creating valuable market opportunities.

The Investment Readiness Programme is a critical initiative to empower urban mobility entrepreneurs with the tools and networks necessary for fundraising success. Focused on impact-driven founders with sustainability at their core, the programme provides tailored support to seed start-ups de-risk their investment strategies. EIT Urban Mobility’s Investment Readiness Programme has supported over 100 start-ups, collectively securing more than EUR 40 million in capital. This initiative continues to bridge the gap between visionary start-ups and forward-thinking investors, driving the future of urban mobility.
