Skeleton Technologies Opens SuperBattery Factory in Finland
Skeleton Technologies, an InnoEnergy supported company, opens new SuperBattery factory in Varkaus, Finland.
This marks a significant milestone for the company’s scale-up and for Europe’s ability to supply high-power storage solutions essential for AI data centres and other demanding applications. InnoEnergy has accompanied Skeleton Technologies for more than a decade as the company progressed from early-stage innovation to the industrial achievements now visible in Varkaus. The opening of the SuperBattery factory reaffirms the importance of sustained innovation, strategic partnerships, and industrial ambition.
With a total of €50 million invested in the facility, it becomes Europe’s first production site dedicated to high-power batteries for AI infrastructure and the world’s first to industrialise backup power systems for mission-critical computing and emerging technologies such as nuclear fusion.
