EIT-Backed Startups Among Europe’s Fastest-Growing Ventures in Sifted’s 2025 Ranking

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has once again been recognised among Europe’s best-performing investors in Sifted’s 2025 ranking, supported by the Financial Times, highlighting its role in accelerating some of Europe’s most innovative startups. 

Nineteen EIT-supported companies feature in this year’s Sifted 250 – The Fastest-Growing European Startups in 2025.

Key EIT-Backed Startups Shaping the Future of Innovation 

  • Electra – ranked number 5 and supported by EIT Urban Mobility – is a Paris-based startup building ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Europe. Founded in 2020, the company has rapidly become a key player in the continent’s electric-mobility infrastructure, offering fast-charging solutions for all types of EVs. Electra has raised a total of €1.07 billion to date, including a €283 million debt round in July 2025. 
  • Lindus Health – ranked number 16 and supported by EIT Health – is a London-based startup delivering faster, technology-enabled clinical trials for life-sciences companies. Founded in 2020, the company offers an alternative to traditional contract research organisations by simplifying and accelerating the clinical-research process. Lindus Health has raised €61 million to date, most recently securing a €41.6 million Series B round in January 2025. 
  • Earthbancranked number 19 and supported by Climate KIC (formerly EIT Climate-KIC) – is a Stockholm-based climate-technology startup advancing regenerative land management through software that measures, reports, and verifies environmental impact, alongside AgTech solutions. Founded in 2019, the company works on agroforestry, regenerative-agriculture, and ecosystem-restoration projects. Earthbanc has raised €2.9 million to date, including a €1.5 million seed investment in April 2022.
