Statement on EIT Manufacturing and Support for Beneficiaries

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is closely monitoring the situation concerning EIT Manufacturing, including the filing for liquidation by EIT Manufacturing ASBL on 25 March 2026.

EIT Manufacturing ASBL is an independent private legal entity. Decisions regarding its future lie with its governing bodies and members, including ensuring sufficient funding for its activities.

We are particularly mindful of the impact of the current situation on start-ups and other beneficiaries of EIT Manufacturing ASBL. We are following developments closely with a view to facilitating the settlement of claims towards EIT Manufacturing ASBL for beneficiaries not affected by the irregularities.

Once the liquidation process of EIT Manufacturing ASBL is opened by the relevant court, the EIT will aim to fully cooperate with the appointed liquidator in this regard. The EIT remains committed to supporting innovation and skills in Europe’s manufacturing sector.
