EIT-supported ventures to feature at the EIC Summit 2026 exhibition
Three EIT-supported ventures and projects will be featured at the European Innovation Council (EIC) Summit 2026 exhibition on 3–4 June, showcasing innovation in the areas of renewable energy, circular materials and health technologies.
The EIC Summit 2026 is bringing together startups, investors, researchers, corporates, policymakers and innovation leaders from across Europe to discuss the future of European innovation. Alongside high-level discussions, networking opportunities and satellite events, the Summit exhibition will showcase EIC-funded projects and companies developing solutions in areas including renewable energy, circular materials and health innovation.
Among the 23 EIC-funded projects and companies featured in the exhibition will be three initiatives supported through the EIT Community, highlighting how the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) helps innovators scale technologies and bring research-driven solutions closer to market across Europe.
CorPower Ocean advancing wave energy innovation
One of the featured companies is CorPower Ocean, an InnoEnergy-backed startup pioneering wave energy technology designed to generate reliable renewable electricity from ocean waves and support Europe’s transition towards cleaner energy systems. Founded in Sweden in 2009, CorPower Ocean has developed an innovative wave energy converter inspired by high-efficiency pumping systems developed through medical research. The company is advancing wave energy projects and deployments across Europe.
InnoEnergy has played an important role in CorPower Ocean’s development, supporting the company through expertise, strategic guidance, networking opportunities and financial support. In 2025, CorPower Ocean received additional backing through the EIC Accelerator programme to help accelerate the commercialisation of its technology and the deployment of future wave energy projects across Europe.
Releaf Paper supporting circular materials solutions
Also featured in the exhibition is Releaf Paper, a circular materials company transforming urban green waste into sustainable fibre, paper, fillers and biocomposite materials for packaging and consumer goods. By converting fallen leaves into alternative raw materials, the company contributes to circular economy approaches aimed at reducing reliance on conventional wood-based paper production.
Releaf Paper received support from EIT Health in 2025 through the Seeds of Bravery programme, an initiative supporting Ukraine’s tech startup ecosystem and helping innovative companies strengthen connections with European markets, networks and opportunities.
Scienta Lab and AI-driven health innovation
Scienta Lab will also be represented through the PRISM project, an EU-funded initiative developing a proprietary multimodal foundation model tailored for immunology. The company previously received support from EIT Health through the Reactor Medical Imaging Bootcamp in 2022 — an accelerator programme designed to support early-stage healthcare startups working in medical imaging, diagnostics and hospital process optimisation. The programme helps startups validate product-market fit, refine commercialisation strategies and prepare for future scaling.
Showcasing European innovation collaboration
The participation of these ventures at the EIC Summit exhibition highlights growing collaboration across the European innovation ecosystem and demonstrates how EIT-supported initiatives are helping bring innovative technologies closer to market in areas including clean energy, circular materials and health innovation.
The Summit will also host the European Prize for Women Innovators awards ceremony on 4 June. Supported by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, the prize recognises women entrepreneurs behind Europe’s ground-breaking innovations. The winners will be announced on the EIT website on the day of the ceremony.
