EIT Health selected six projects under the EP PerMed Education Call 2025

Six innovative projects have been selected for funding under the EP PerMed Education Call 2025, an initiative designed to strengthen the integration of personalised medicine into healthcare systems through targeted education and training.

Launched in June 2025, the call supports the development of educational content that equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to incorporate personalised medicine approaches into everyday clinical practice. The selected projects will enter a development phase running from December 2025 to December 2026, after which the completed courses will be made available through the EIT Health Academy.

The six funded projects address a range of medical disciplines and educational needs, reflecting the growing importance of continuous professional development in advancing personalised healthcare across Europe.

GENCareSim: this project focuses on enhancing healthcare professionals’ competencies in the management of hereditary cancer survivorship through simulation based learning approaches.

PRECISE-HEART aims to strengthen knowledge and application of personalised medicine in cardiovascular care, supporting more tailored prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies.

COMPASS-PM designed for primary care professionals, COMPASS-PM will provide general practitioners with practical guidance on understanding and applying personalised medicine concepts in routine clinical settings.

GEN2CARE focuses on improving healthcare professionals’ understanding of molecular diagnostics and their role in supporting informed clinical decision making.

PRISM: this project explores personalised approaches to rehabilitation, promoting interdisciplinary strategies for the management of non-specific low back pain.

ECPM addresses one of the key challenges of personalised medicine: communication. The project will develop training resources to help healthcare professionals effectively discuss personalised medicine concepts, risks, and treatment options with patients.

Education as a driver of personalised healthcare

Together, these projects demonstrate the critical role of education in enabling healthcare professionals to navigate the evolving landscape of personalised medicine. By fostering new competencies across a range of specialties, the EP PerMed Education Call contributes to the broader goal of making personalised healthcare more accessible and effective for patients across Europe.
