Innovation Uptake Call

Accelerate the market adoption of your digital, data-driven or AI-powered healthcare innovation with the EIT Health Innovation Uptake call.

EIT Health is calling for mature digital, data-driven and AI-powered healthcare solutions ready to scale across European markets. Selected projects will receive funding to accelerate market entry, generate real-world evidence, strengthen market access, and support the adoption of clinically validated innovations across healthcare systems.

The call information and supporting documents are now available to help applicants prepare their proposals. Access to the application platform will open on 15 July 2026.

Who can apply?

  • Consortia of at least two independent legal entities from different countries.
  • Must include partners from at least two sides of the Knowledge Triangle (Industry, Research, Education).
  • Led by a Commercialising Entity (SME or industry player) responsible for bringing the solution to market.
  • Applicants must be legal entities (individuals cannot apply).
  • Entities must be established in eligible Horizon Europe countries (EU Member States, associated countries, or eligible third countries).

Funding

  • Total call budget: up to €5.2 million.  
  • Up to eight projects funded.
  • Maximum funding per project: €650 000. 
  • Funding covers up to 50% of total project costs (co-funding required).
  • SMEs leading projects receive €400 000 - €500 000 within the grant.

What is funded

The call funds projects focused on:   

  • Commercialisation pilots in real-world healthcare settings.  
  • Product usability testing and market adaptation.  
  • Go-to-market strategy and business model validation.  
  • Health economic analysis.  
  • Reimbursement pathway development.  

Expected outcomes

Funded projects are expected to achieve:  

  • Launch of the innovation on the market with at least €10 000 revenue within one year post-project.  
  • Reach at least 150 000 patients or citizens within three years.  
  • Generate strong clinical, economic, and commercial evidence to support adoption.  
  • Demonstrate scalable, sustainable business and deployment models across European markets.
