Doctoral Training Network
Are you curious to expand your network within the urban mobility ecosystem? Then apply for the Doctoral training Network!
The ideal candidate should be a driven student interested in studying urban mobility and innovation in an international context. Interested candidates should be fluent in English, possess excellent communication skills, as well as have the ability to address problems with an entrepreneurial mindset. We welcome applications from doctoral candidates
- Who are registered at an EIT Urban Mobility partner university and enrolled in a PhD position, and who wish to gain entrepreneurial, innovation and business skills
- Whose doctoral research relates to the field of urban mobility
- Who have two or more years left before completing their PhD dissertation
- Who are fluent in English.
At the moment, doctoral candidates from the following universities are eligible to join the network for free:
Aalto University, Czech Technical University in Prague, Eindhoven University of Technology, Ghent University, Israel Institute of Technology, NFF Technical University of Braunschweig, Technical University of Munich, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, University of Lisbon, and the University of Tartu.
Starting 2024, for the first time, we will accept applications from candidates outside the Doctoral Training Network of partner universities: The participation fee for external candidates is 6 000 € to be paid by the university of the PhD candidate. This fee may be reduced to 3 000 € upon the DTN Committee’s decision for outstanding applicants. The fee includes the complete I&E course package (four mandatory and three elective courses) and attending two DTN Annual Forum events (including travel grants).
Programme Requirements
In order to complete the programme and obtain the EIT Label Certificate, the candidate must fulfil the following requirements:
- Completion of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Modules
- Completion of one Intercultural Skills & Leadership course
- Completion of three elective courses
- 4-6 month international and cross‐organizational mobility
- Attending two DTN Annual Forums
- Completion of dissertation at base university
