Innovation Validation Call 2026

Apply now to the Innovation Validation Call to accelerate the clinical validation and market launch of your digital or AI‑driven healthcare innovation!

EIT Health is calling for innovative digital and AI-powered medical technologies that are at an Innovation Maturity Level (IML) 6 and ready for clinical validation and market launch. Selected projects will be awarded funding to run pivotal clinical studies, collect real-world evidence to demonstrate safety and efficacy, apply for regulatory approval, and prepare for market commercialisation.

Who Can Apply?

• Consortia of at least two organisations from different countries representing at least two sides of the Knowledge Triangle (industry, research, education). 
• A commercialising company must lead the project. 
• Eligible solutions must be digital or AI-enabled medical devices (MDR/IVDR) at Innovation Maturity Level (IML) 6, aiming to reach IML 7 by project end.

Funding

EIT Health will fund up to 50% of the total project budget, up to a total grant funding amount of €850 000 per project. The commercialising entity must sign a Financial Sustainability Contribution Agreement and, in the case that it is a micro or small enterprise, must receive €400 000 – €500 000 of the grant.
