NEB Academy | Fashion Shift

EIT Culture & Creativity launches €2.5 million in funding to scale circular and responsible fashion through the NEB Academy.

EIT Culture & Creativity has launched an open call worth up to €2.5 million through the NEB Academy for collaborative teams ready to build fashion businesses differently. The call marks a significant step in EIT Culture & Creativity's role as implementing partner of the NEB Academy - the New European Bauhaus' learning and innovation infrastructure.

The ground is shifting in fashion. Regulation is catching up, consumer expectations are changing, and the business case for circular, regenerative and responsible models is stronger than it has ever been. Yet across Europe, the most promising approaches often remain local, underfunded and disconnected from the policy and industry contexts that would allow them to grow.

The NEB Academy | Fashion Shift call was built for exactly this moment: to fund the scaling, regional adaptation and cross-border exchange that the sector currently lacks.

The call funds five collaborative teams to develop and scale circular, regenerative and responsible fashion business models at any level of the value chain, from materials and production to repair, resale, rental and supply chain transparency, with up to €500,000 per project and 100% reimbursement of eligible costs.

Selected teams will receive dedicated support from EIT Culture & Creativity's Regional Hubs to navigate policy contexts, build stakeholder relationships and anchor their work regionally. They will also join regular peer exchange spaces - digital and in-person - to learn across borders and build collective resilience. The goal is a more sovereign European fashion ecosystem, built on shared practices.

The call is an open invitation to independent fashion brands, research institutions, value chain partners and public authorities across Europe to take their work further – and to become part of EIT Culture & Creativity’s pan-European network and the wider New European Bauhaus community.
