Communication Officer (Interim)

We are looking for a Communication Officer to join our headquarter in Budapest!

Tasks

  • Communication campaigns: support the conceptualisation and execution of major communication campaigns, including for flagship events (e.g. EIT Awards, EIT Water, Education & Skills Days)
  • Content development: draft news items and updates for the EIT website and social media channels; design visual materials for website and social media, presentations, and other communication assets
  • Daily press and communications opportunity monitoring and archiving of press articles, interviews and media monitoring or relevant information
  • Support: provide administrative, logistical and coordination support to the Communication Section, including liaising with the Publications Office on graphic and publication deliverables; supporting the planning and organisation of EIT meetings and events.

Requirements

Professional experience

  • Minimum of three years' relevant experience in the field, or four years of experience if the completed university studies were shorter than four years
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of above tasks through different professional experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience in communications, or related discipline.

Qualification

  • A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.

Language skills

  • Excellent command of the English language (at least C1 Level based on the Common Framework of Reference Languages).

IT Skills

  • Computer literacy and in particular excellent use of MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Working hours

  • 40 hours/week

Preferences

  • Experience in working for an EU Institution
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
