Welcome to the latest edition of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) Newsletter.
We’re excited to share the latest developments and milestones from across the EIT Community. The EIT Governing Board has unveiled its future vision, cementing the EIT’s role as a key driver of a competitive and innovation-led Europe. To mark 15 years of EIT impact, we have also released new factsheets showcasing the achievements of our Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), highlighting their reach and results, as well as some impact stories.
Nine inspiring finalists have been revealed for the 2025 European Prize for Women Innovators, jointly awarded by the EIT and the European Innovation Council (EIC). Stay tuned—winners will be announced at the EIC Summit on 3 April 2025.
Additionally, the Financial Times has named three EIT KICs among Europe’s Leading Start-up Hubs for 2025—recognition of the EIT Community’s thriving innovation ecosystems. We also spotlight our role in the European Commission’s Union of Skills initiative, where, in collaboration with businesses and with particular attention to gender-balanced participation, we aim to equip one million learners by 2028 with the skills needed in strategic sectors. This is one of several efforts through which we are advancing innovation-driven education and training across Europe.
