SPIN: Rise 2026 Call

28DIGITAL is launching an open Call for Proposals for SPIN: Rise 2026, aimed at expanding its portfolio of entrepreneurial education and pre-incubation programmes that strengthen the journey from research to market impact.

The call invites proposals for the design and delivery of a 7-week hybrid programme in 2026, combining online training and mentoring with an in-person bootcamp. The programme should focus on entrepreneurship and IP valorisation, supporting researchers at early stages of commercialisation and helping them explore pathways such as industry collaboration, licensing or venture creation. Proposals should align with 28DIGITAL’s strategic priorities and address one of the programme’s thematic focus areas.

What Is SPIN? 

SPIN is a hybrid entrepreneurial training and pre-incubation programme which aims to equip Deep Tech researchers with the skills and knowledge to unlock the commercial potential of their work. This programme serves as a bridge between academic research and industrial impact, empowering researchers to explore pathways for Intellectual Property (IP) valorisation through licensing, industry partnerships and venture creation

Who Can Apply? 

Any legal entity, regardless of its place of establishment, including legal entities from non-associated third countries is eligible to participate, provided that the conditions laid down in the Horizon Europe Regulation have been met (e.g. the entity is not under EU sanction), along with any other conditions laid down in the specific call/topic. For this call, a ‘legal entity’ means any legal person created and recognised as such under national law, EU law or international law, which has legal personality and which may, acting in its own name, exercise rights and be subject to obligations, or an entity without legal personality.
